Part of Houdini’s trio of 1920s-era movie treatments. Yar, the Primeval Man wasn’t made into a film but it’s another interesting Houdini memento.
The 12-page booklet recounts the prehistoric adventures of a band of cavemen, so its potential screen appeal admittedly may have been limited, although Houdini did eventually play a long-frozen individual from the past in his 1922 film The Man from Beyond.
On the back cover, you’ll find a color reproduction of a 1914 Houdini letter with the same image that the cover of Yar, the Primeval Man was based on.
